Nairn Synchro - Swimmer Code of Conduct

All swimmers are expected to:

·        Always try their best

·        Do what is asked of them

·        Listen closely to the coach or official

·        Respect each other at all times

·        Encourage and congratulate others

·        Identify with the Nairn Synchronised Swimming Team team. Be aware that they are representing Nairn and show appropriate behaviour

·        Be on time for all swim sessions

·        Not to be under the influence of alcohol, drugs or abusive substances

·        Give total commitment to the programme

·        Set a good example to others

·        Not indulge in any form of bullying, this will not be tolerated.

·       Use language that is appropriate and socially acceptable.

·    Respect all training facilities being used by the Club and continue respectful behaviour to others and the facility when in the pool, changing rooms and reception areas

 


Nairn Synchro - Parent and Spectator Code of Conduct

I agree to:  

  1. Always promote the positive aspects of the sport (e.g. fair play). 
  1. Encourage swimmers to value the performance and not just results. 
  1. Do not ridicule or shout at a child for making mistakes. 
  1. Never condone rule violations or use of prohibited substances. 
  1. Behave responsibly and do not use inappropriate language whilst involved in or spectating at club activities, and treat swimmers, coaches, club volunteers, officials and parents of yours and other clubs with due respect. 
  1. Follow all guidelines laid down by the national governing body and the club. 
  1. Encourage and guide swimmers to accept responsibility for their own performance and behaviour. 
  1. Always remember that the involvement in the sport is for the child not you. 
  1. Support all efforts to remove verbal and physical abuse from sporting activities. 
  1. Abide by Scottish Swimming Social Media Guidelines. 

Sanctions: Where parent / spectator is a member of the Club / Scottish Swimming any breaches of the parent / spectator code of conduct will be dealt with in accordance with the clubs disciplinary procedures.

 

If the parent / spectator is not a member of the Club / Scottish Swimming any breaches of the parent / spectator code of conduct will result in a ban from poolside.

Nairn Synchro - Officials and Volunteers Code of Conduct

I agree to:

 

  1. Consider the wellbeing and safety of swimmers before the development of performance. 
  1. Develop an appropriate working relationship with swimmers, based on mutual trust and respect. 
  1. Always promote the positive aspects of the sport (eg fair play).
  1. Make sure all activities are appropriate to the age, ability and experience of those taking part.

 Encourage swimmers to value the performance and not just results. 

  1. Hold the appropriate valid qualifications and insurance cover. 
  1. Never consume alcohol immediately before or during training or events. 
  1. Never condone rule violations or use of prohibited substances. 
  1. Display consistently high standards of behaviour and appearance, dressing suitably and not using inappropriate language at any time whilst involved in club activities. 
  1. Follow all guidelines laid down by the national governing body and the club. 
  1. Never exert undue influence over swimmers to obtain personal benefit or reward. 
  1. Encourage and guide wwimmers to accept responsibility for their own performance and behaviour. 
  1. Abide by Scottish Swimming social media guidelines. 

 

Sanctions: Breaches of the Officials & Volunteer code of conduct will be dealt with in accordance with the clubs disciplinary procedures.
